Actor Prashanth’s long legal battle came to an end recently with the family court declaring that his marriage with Grahalakshmi is invalid as she was married to Venugal earlier before getting married to Prashanth.

Some media reports claim that Prashanth has planned to marry Meera Jasmine soon, but it was strongly denied by Prashanth. Speaking to the press, Prashanth said that such reports are baseless and he is concentrating on his acting career. His forthcoming films are Mambatiyan and Ponnar Sankar.

These days, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao is spending most of the time in the residence of his new-found friend Vijayashanti.

Well, there is a reason to this: Everyday, KCR first comes to Telangana Bhavan and the moment he steps into his chamber, he is being flooded with representations from aspirants for party tickets in the next elections. Though he is accepting the representations, he is not able to focus on screening them and select the right candidates.

Secondly, there is no scope for any “bargaining” with the aspirants and promising them tickets.

So, KCR has chosen Vijayashanti’s residence the best place to sit and deal with the applications quietly. He is consulting Vijayashanti while screening each and every application. 'Roja Slept with Producers's Sons' ...

That political criticism has crossed all limits of decency and reached ugly proportions has once again proved with Telugu Mahila president Roja and Mahila Rajyam president Sobha Rani abusing each other in the filthiest language. Of course, media played its own role in adding fuel to the fire.

It started with Praja Rajyam mahila wing chief Sobha Rani, who addressed a press conference exclusively to attack Roja, who has been going hammer and tongs against Chiranjeevi and Pavan Kalyan for the last couple of weeks. Using the choicest abuses, Sobha went on to allege that Roja has a shady background, which is too big to write a book. Everybody in the film industry knew how Roja had “entertained” film producers and even their sons to grow as a heroine; how she blackmailed Selvamani to marry her and how she runs bar in the night and darbar in the day. “Roja has a dirty behaviour and attire. Her brothers run belt shops in Chittoor. She is consuming liquor and dancing on the streets. We have been keeping quiet all these days; otherwise, our youth would have thrashed her long ago,” Sobha said.

Electronic media did not lose much time in instigating Roja, who is presently in Tirupati. And Roja replied in equally filthy language. “Who is Sobha Rani and what is her political stature? Let her know how Pavan Kalyan had affairs with several women and also the background of Renu Desai,” she said. She made similar comments against Chiranjeevi and his illegal contacts with several artistes in the film industry. Not limiting themselves in airing these abusive language without any censoring, the TV channels even conducted opinion polls on these comments!
